Garden IL Monday Relationships GO! Food 6c Drink LDuCATlON 3 A ACQ Woman afraid to tell boyfriend about enhancements1 DEAR CAROLYN: My boyfriend and I have been together for almost five months. We are very happy and in love. He is very opinionated, real and honest he doesn't like plastic surgery, colored contacts or even dyed hair.

He is very down-to-earth. About a year and a half ago I got breast implants. They are not big because I just wanted them to be proportioned to the rest of my body He thinks that my breasts are just "really firm" and that I'm just lucky. He has every right to know, but I'm just so nervous about telling him. He may get upset for not some excellent reasons: You'll be busted eventually.

You're letting him believe you're someone you're not, and you can't be "happy and in love" without an honest foundation. You'll be more yourself around him, and presumably more at ease, if you get this off your chest. Anybody "real" and or "down-to-earth" would prefer a girlfriend who was able to differ with him intelligently to one who agrees with him falsely So you're nervous about telling him. Understandable he really might dump you. But still, you should be far more times, but good people fight their dark instincts, and are first in line to deplore them.

They judge themselves, harshly. Tell her again you won't listen any more, and mean it this time. Tell her and Mark nice friends you have, by the way that you won't lie to protect them if asked. And when she asks you again for respect, kindly suggest that she earn it. Write to "Tell Me About It, care of The Washington Post, Style Plus, 1150 15th NW, Washington, D.C.

20071, or e-mail tellmewashpost.com. nervous about not telling. Aren't you just as entitled to an opinion as he is? You made the choice, now own it or, if you regret what you did, disavow it. Life will only get harder if you keep using fear as an excuse not to stick to your guns. DEAR CAROLYN: My roommate "Mary" has a long-distance boyfriend of three years, but is seeing another guy "Mark," who knows about her boyfriend and also is one of my friends.

Mary says she is remorseful, but shows no sign of stopping. Listening to her talk about her "boy trouble" infuriates me. I think it's asking a lot of me to keep mum when she hooks up with Mark and then later her boyfriend comes over. I told her I refuse to hear about it any more, because it lowers my opinion of her and I want to stay friends. She said she wants me to stop judging her and respect her.

I said I respect her enough not to say anything to the boys, but that is all I can do. Am I being too judgmental? COLLEGE STUDENT For those who think Mary's demand for respect is even more egregious than her behavior like, say, me you're not being judgmental enough.
