Community Accent May 11, 1985 Stevens Point (Wis.) Journal 6 Plover priest takes position in Eau Claire The Rev. Charles Hiebl, pastor of St. Bronislava's Catholic Church, Plover, has been assigned to St. Patrick's Parish, Eau Claire. The transfer is effective as of July 9.

Hiebl has been at St. Bronislava's since August 31, 1979. Born in western Marathon County, he attended Corinth Public Schools, Holy Cross Seminary in La Crosse and Mount St. Bernard's Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. He was ordained to the priesthood in May of 1962 and he has spent all of his career as a priest in the Central Wisconsin area.

Hiebl served at St. Joseph's Parish, Stevens Point, from June of 1962 to June of 1964. He taught at Pacelli High School, assisted at St. Peter's Parish and was chaplain at the Portage County Home until June of 1970. He was at Assumption High School, Wisconsin Rapids, and was pastor of St.

Joseph's Parish, Altdorf, until August of 1979. He also was named to All Saints Parish, Babcock, in 1971 and to Sacred Heart Parish, Nekoosa, in 1972. He became the dean of the Wisconsin Rapids clergy in September of 1977 and served until 1979 when he moved here. He has been dean of the Stevens Point area clergy since October of 1982. St.

Patrick's Parish, Eau Claire, has about 1,300 families about 150 families more than St. Bronislava's, Parish. Community Events WISCONSIN RIVER Smocking Guild meets Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Plover Municipal Center. Bring sewing machines for a lesson on French machine sewing.

The couple live in Chicago, Ill. She works at Northwestern University and he works at Durkee Spice Co. He is a 1978 graduate of Pacelli High School. Peper-Rozumialski Barbara Lynn Peper and Brian James Rozumialski were married Saturday, May 4, during a 2 p.m. ceremony at' St.

Michelle Rozumialski was junior bridesmaid. Pat Schmoll served as best man with groomsmen Jim Rozumialski, John Peper and David Peper. A dinner and reception at the American Legion Clubhouse followed the ceremony at which Jim Peper and Darren Wiczek seated guests. The couple will reside at 2301 Forest Drive, Plover, when they return from a wedding trip to southern Wisconsin. The Portage County Historical Society and Happy Joe's are sponsoring a bus trip to the Cedar Creek Settlement, Cedarburg, on Saturday, May 18. Visitors can explore the settings that once housed a worsted woolen mill, power house, office, stable and coach house. The bus will leave from Happy Joe's at 8 a.m.

The bride, a 1979 graduate of Stevens Point Area Senior High School, is a 1983 graduate of the stenography and clerk typist program at Mid-State Technical Institute. She was employed at Emmons Stationery and Office Supply prior to her marriage. The bridegroom, a 1971 graduate of Park River Falls High School, is a senior sales representative with Emmons. The couple will reside in La Crescent, Minn. Prenuptial events included a shower given by Sandy Skibba and Jeanette Zinda and a rehearsal dinner held at Gary Nations Supper Club.

Raymond Schulz at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Junction City. The bride is the daughter of Edwin and Mary Ann Kawlewski, town of Eau Pleine.

The bridegroom is the son of Monica Winiecke, 2862 S. Highway and the late Andrew Kaminski. Karen Czerwinski served as the bride's honor attendant with Debbie Kaminski and Carri Linzmeier, brides- Andrew Kaminski Jr. was best man with Marvin Kawlewski and David Repinski, groomsmen. Music was provided by Laura Haase, organist, and Loretta Pientka and Denise Peplinski, vocalists.

Dennis Kaminski and Charles Kawlewski were the ushers for the 1:30 p.m. wedding which was followed by a reception and dinner at Club A. The couple live at 2862 S. Highway P. The bride graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High School in 1978 and with an account clerk degree from Mid-State Technical Institute-Stevens Point in 1979.

She works as a machinist at Woodward Governor Co. The bridegroom, a 1974 SPASH graduate, is self-employed in farming. Prenuptial events included a shower given by the bride's mother and sisters and a shower given by Monica Winiecke, Clair Ann Kaminski, Diane Repinski, Doris Haase, Marge Handschke and Debbie Kaminski. Meyer -Jaworski Elizabeth Jean Meyer and Robert Joseph Jaworski were married Saturday, April 27, during a 2 p.m. ceremony at St.

Wenceslaus' Church, Milladore. The Rev. John Wisneski officiated. Eugene and Mary Ann Meyer, Route 1, Junction City, and Richard and Annette Jaworski, 1716 Lincoln are the couple's parents. Judy Meyer and Mary Jo Wick provided music and Tom Meyer and Fred Firkus seated the guests.

Barbara Meyer served as the bride's maid of honor with bridesmaids Ann Wiernik, Diane Shuda, Karen Meyer and Becky Glodoski. Richard Zywicki served as best man with groomsmen Alan Kugler, Pat Hagen, Mike Jaworski and Tom Rucki. A reception and dinner were held at the American Legion Clubhouse. The bride and bridegroom graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High School, she in 1982 and he in 1981. She works at First Financial Savings and Loan Association and he works at Emmons Stationery and Office Supply Co. Prenuptial events included a shower given by Sandy Glodoski, Mary Glodoski, Becky Glodoski and Dorothy Molski; a shower given by Flo Losinski; and a rehearsal dinner given by the bridegroom's parents. Elementary music concerts set next week The fourth annual Stevens Point Elementary School District Music Concerts will be held Monday and Tuesday at the P.J. Jacobs Junior High School gym at 7:30 p.m.

Participating will be 160 sixth grade band students, 200 string students and 980 chorus students from grades fourth, fifth and sixth. Approximately 700 students will perform each night. The Monday night concert will include music students from J.F. Kennedy, McDill, McKinley, and Roosevelt. Tuesday night Madison, Jackson, Emerson and Washington students will perform.

A beginning fourth grade orchestra will open the concert each evening by playing "Tabby's "Michael, Row the Boat Ashore" and "Waltz and Barn Dance" under the direction of string teachers Arvalea Crawford, Linda Thurnau and Joyce Wotruba. The same teachers will direct the intermediate fifth and sixth grade orchestra in "Grand March from "Two Mozart Melodies," "Shake the Papaya Down" and "My Native Land." Fourth grade choruses of about 200 voices will sing "Music Counts, "Look On the Bright Side," "The Gift to Be Simple" and "I Like Being A Kid" under the direction of Andrea Neuhauser, Anita Emerson, Jan Higgins and Rose Reichl. The sixth grade band will be directed by Charles Emerson, Mary Egle, Sharon Morell and Russ Gilligan in performing "Away We Go," "Boogie On," "Spooks In Space" and "A Touch of Baroque." Laura Haugen, Shirley Johnson, Virginia Liu and Jan Tuszka will direct the 300-voice fifth-sixth grade choruses in "Don't Let the Music Stop," "Let's Fly," "How Come?" and "Lord, Lord, I've Got Some Singing To Do." For the finale, 500 students in choruses for fourth through sixth grades will combine to sing "My Song" accompanied by the "Pachelbel Canon" played by the Stevens Point Area Senior High String Orchestra under the direction of Andrea Neuhauser. Jan Higgins will direct the group in "Sing!" and Pat Lewis will finish with "God Bless America." The Stevens Point District instrumental and vocal music programs are coordinated by Emerson and Mrs. Lewis.
